Converter Guide
A small Windows app I built for my own workflow. It runs entirely
on your computer, nothing gets uploaded to me, and it costs nothing.
Installing
- Download the setup file from the Free Apps section of the Shop.
- Double click it. Because the app is made by an independent creator and is
not code signed, Windows may show a blue SmartScreen notice the
first time. Click More info, then Run anyway.
This is normal for small independent software.
- Follow the installer. When it finishes you get a Start menu entry and a desktop
shortcut.
Nothing you do in the app is sent to me. There is no account
to create and no cloud server behind it. Every file you convert stays on your own
computer from start to finish.
MartinWorks Converter
A drag and drop converter for images and documents. Everything happens on your
computer, nothing leaves it.
- Open the app and drag one or more files onto it.
- Pick the format you want. Images convert between PNG, JPG, WEBP, and more.
Documents convert between Word, PDF, Markdown, and HTML.
- Click Convert. The finished files land in the folder you choose.
Troubleshooting
- Windows blocked the download, or flagged it as a virus. The app
is from an independent creator and is not yet code-signed, so Windows can warn or
block it. It is safe. If your browser blocks the download, click the
··· next to it and choose Keep.
Then right-click the file, choose Properties, tick Unblock,
and click OK. Run it and click More info → Run anyway on the blue
screen. If Windows Security removed it, open Windows Security → Protection
history, find the app, and choose Allow.
- A file will not convert. Check that the format is one of the
listed pairs, and that the file is not open in another program. Windows will not
let the app write over a file something else is holding.
- Still stuck? Email me and I will help.
